A loan of $180 helped to expand a general store.
On the main road in rural Gujranwala, 67-year-old widow Ruqia Begum makes sure her shop stocks what local villagers need on a daily basis. From a snack to laundry detergent she makes sure she has all the required inventory in hand.  Running the household singlehandedly after her husband has never been easy. Especially when she had to raise eight children singlehandedly. She has no backup and financial support to raise her children and unfortunately no eduction to find an appropriate job, With a strong resolute and willpower, she started a small general store to support her family that helped provide food for her family. But the income was not enough to finance her children's education and they remained deprived from their basic right. Ruqia has married her four children and the other four children are home. One daughter works to contribute to the family income and earns a small amount.  Upon hearing about Seedout, she immediately applied for a loan with the hope that she could expand her shop and have better earnings for the family. Moreover, she wants to employ her son in her business as well.
