A loan of $216 helped expand a shoe business.
Muhammad Ashraf, 37, lives with his wife and three young children in Gujranwala, Pakistan. He is a shoemaker who has been running a small-scale business in the manufacture, mending and cleaning of shoes from his home for the past fifteen years. He is also employed as a laborer at a factory where he works in the mornings. With domestic expenses, and business expenses fluctuating within a dangerous range, Muhammad has very little breathing space to take large financial risks with his humble business. However, he also believes an expansion has been long overdue. With sales rising and costs following a similar trend, Muhammad hopes a business expansion will bring his income figures into a more comfortable range from where he can make better decisions for his shoe store. All he requires is help from a group of generous donors willing to make charitable donations for his business. A crowd fund for his cause will make all the difference.
It will allow a small-time shoe maker take his products to a larger market
