A loan of $792 helped to buy an auto-rickshaw for females (Zeenat Gari).
In the small town of Lahore, Sadaqat Park, lives Farzana Sharafat who is aged 40 years and is the loving and caring mother of her six children. Her husband is an electriciam who works on daily wages and Farzana herself is an in-home, small scale dress maker who stitches about 10 - 15 suits per month. The condition of their house is also deteriorating and in such circumstances, it is very difficult for her to manage any savings for her personal use or for her home. With six school going children, hike in the electricity bills, and the house rent, it becomes very hard for them to collect any saving for even a fruit a day for each child, let alone any other luxury. Farzana has high hopes and aspirations from her plan to drive the pink rickshaw that will cater to women and children so she can earn a better living and make a better life for her family.
