A loan of $216 helped to start a mobile shop.
Muhammad Afzal is a 30 year old married man, living with his wife and 2 children in a slum of Gujranwala. Afzal is the sole bread winner for the family but his income is never enough. The expenses never seem to end and Afzal is unable to provide the basic facilities to his family. The reason behind Afzal’s poverty is not his lack of struggle or hard work; in fact he has tried multiple times to improve his financial conditions. He used to run a small gamming spot for children but unfortunately, his business failed. He lacked proper financial backing and his shop went into negative figures. He had no other option but to close it down. With no source of income or a job Afzal started looking for an alternative. Due to Afzal’s illiteracy, he was unable to find a job that could cover the expenses. He was forced to work as a laborer despite being disabled from his right hand. His disability never allowed him to work fully and get a reasonable wage for his labor. He is currently running his household on his meager daily wages. There are days when he is unable earn anything and the family goes to sleep without a meal. Afzal is aware of the fact that he can’t rely on his labor and wants to start his own business. He approached Seed Out asking for an interest free loan to start a mobile shop. He needs your help and your generous donations for an opportunity. Together, we can empower Afzal and show him that his disability and poverty can’t define his future
