A loan of $216 helped grow a grocery store.

Naheed Akhter is a brave woman! She refuses to be constrained by societal bounds and will do anything for the betterment of her 5 children. Naheed's husband is a phone operator who earns around 20,000 a month. However, he has another wife and family and supports the other family financially. Naheed is single-handedly looking after her own 5 children financially and otherwise. She has been doing stitching for the past 8 years but 2 years ago, she started her own grocery store.  All she has is 20,000 Rs worth of stock and is able to make very minimal sales. Despite her low income, she sends all her children to a government school. The eldest, Zara, is in 7th grade whereas the youngest, Abdul Wahab, is only 2 years old. Naheed has now a[[roached Seed Out for a loan of $216 to expand her grocery store.

With this expansion, she is confident her sales will increase. Her customers respect her, know about her situation and are always willing to support her. Let’s also play our part in supporting this selfless woman so her hard work pays off. It will ease her burden and fulfill her dream of getting her children a higher education.
