"Those who spend their wealth in Allah's way by night and by day, secretly and publicly β€” they will have their reward with their Lord." β€” Quran 2:274
40 year old Mumtaz Bibi is a mother of two young daughters. Managing mounting expenses alone is very difficult for Mumtaz but she puts the betterment of her daughters above everything else. It is her utmost priority to take care of their well-being. Mumtaz is able to generate a very small amount of income by stitching in a clothes factory in Bahawalnagar. In the evening, she sews and sells clothes and fabric to the women in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, Mumtaz's husband has two wives, and she is able to get only a nominal amount from what he manages to earn. Currently, she is living with her mother and sister who also help in managing household expenses. Both of Mumtaz’s daughters attend school and are hardworking students. Confident in their ability, Mumtaz takes a keen interest in their education as the daughters will be her only source of support when she grows older. Mumtaz is known to be a loving and generous person in her community. She had long desired to expand her clothing business and saw a ray of hope when she found out Seed Out is giving interest free loans. Mumtaz has applied for a loan of $105. This will enable her to add variety and new fabric to her stock, which will attract more customers. She hopes that once she expands, her income will show much improvement and with this, she will be able to sustain her daughter's education. Β
