Ansar Majeed has started his business.
Ansar Majeed, a 51-year-old father of 3 struggles each day in his life to provide financial ease to his family. Previously having a 20-year experience working as a factory worker, he could never earn enough income to escape poverty. Stuck in an impoverished life, Ansar’s household expenses always surpassed the amount of money he earned. Paying the school fees of his 3 children, managing household expenses and paying house rent are some of the expenses which Ansar has to fulfill on his own as being the sole breadwinner of the family. Life is disappointing for Ansar as he has grown old working hard each day but was never able to improve his family’s livelihood. Also, his family has been living in an old house for so many years, its hygiene and sanitary conditions have deteriorated immensely. Due to this, his children are often sick which leads to added expenses on medical care. There are times when affording a medicine for his children is not possible. Ansar has requested a microloan of $720 from Seed Out in order to buy an auto rickshaw. Being a trained rickshaw driver allows him to be eligible for Seed Out’s donation. Driving rickshaw around Gujranwala will increase his daily income drastically and he will be able to spend freely and save as well. As Ansar’s income will increase he will be able to provide well enough for his household expenses, his family will be able to afford 3 meals per day and pay their school fees. He will also invest in his house to improve the hygiene conditions leading to an improvement in his children’s health.
It helps a family escape the vicious cycle of poverty and improve their quality of life.
