Nadeem Ali, a 40-year-old father of 6 lives in a semi urban area in Lahore. The conditions of his house are also very shabby. Life has been extremely tough for Nadeem as he could never escape the impoverished lifestyle. He currently works as a tailor and earns a limited amount which does not even cover his household expenses. Nadeem tries hard to send all his children to school but unfortunately only 3 of them attend school due to less income. 3 children amongst his 6 work private jobs in order to contribute to the family income. Nadeem has previously worked as a barber for 9 years but then he got into tailor’s job for better pay but this never proved to be enough. Nadeem has requested a loan of $210 to start his own men’s barber shop. Since he has 9 years experience in men’s barber shop he believes he can provide his customers with best services which will increase customer base. This way more people will visit his barber shop which will eventually increase his income. Nadeem believes this loan will help him pull out of poverty, he can earn and save more from his own barber shop. He will send all 6 of his children to school and save for their university or college fees. He will improve his house conditions which will lead to better hygiene and sanitary standards.
