With respect to the labor rights of animals, Seed Out stepped forward with an initiative to free donkeys from hard labor. Several people are doing a transportation business with donkey carts, and our applicant, Muhammad Abbas, is one of them. He works at a rice factory and transports heavy goods across town on his donkey cart. Using donkey as a means of transportation takes much of his time and also leaves the donkey suffering. The sad part is that the poor animal undergoes intense labor and hardship throughout the day. When he heard the news of Seed Out’s animal rights initiative, Abbas immediately applied to upgrade his means of transport to a loader rickshaw from a donkey cart. He believes loader rickshaw improves his business as it would save time, and the donkey wouldn’t suffer anymore. He intends to release his donkey. He has requested a loan of $792 to purchase a brand new loader rickshaw. The donkey will be freed from harsh labor. Moreover, Abbas’ income will be significantly improved, and much of his time would be saved. He will able to provide a better living and take care of his family.
