Abid Hussain, a 43-year-old father of 4 is always worried about meeting his household expenses and suffers from a difficult life in poverty. There are numerous problems which come with poverty and Abid and his family struggle with many on a daily basis. Working hard day and night as a laborer for the past 12 years, Abid’s income was never enough to manage his household expenses properly. There were days when only one meal was consumed by Abid’s family in a day. As Abid’s children have grown older, their expenses and consumption of food has also increased. Their school fees, transportation and milk consumption also adds up to the increased expenses. His wife currently runs a small general store at home with limited stock. Both Abid and his wife have the potential to earn more but due to less stock, sales of the store remain low which leads to less amount of inventory being bought. Abid has requested a microloan of $210 from Seed Out to expand the grocery store. With this donation from Seed Out, Abid will purchase more inventory for the store. This will increase the sales and number of customers who will visit the store daily. With increased income they will be able to meet the household expenses easily.
