Importance of Fasting in Ramadan

Fasting has great importance in Islam and other religions. Before the directive for Ramadan Fasting came, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had advised his followers to fast for at least three days in a month. This practice was optional only.  However, Ramadan Fasting was obligatory in the second year of Hijrah.

Wishes come true in Ramadan

Wishes come true in the month of Ramadan because it is considered Holly Month for Muslims and ALLAH Says in Quran, Translation:

“Fasting is for me and I will give its reward”.

Ramadan is considered the holy month of in Islam and consider most precious month for prays and other Islamic practices. Ramadan is considered the month of prays, Fast, hunger, hardship, donation patience and worship. And yet for believers, it brings great happiness and contentment too.

In Quran: O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that you may learn piety. (2:183)

For the Muslims the Holy month of Ramadan offers a wonderful chance to get Paradise after the hardship of leaving food, drink, and sex gets them the happy promise that their efforts will be accepted by Almighty ALLAH.

The Goal of Taqwa 

The goal of Taqwa is very obvious and the result of sincere fasting is piety. With the help of fasting muslims get Taqwa in their life. Taqwa or Piety enables us to keep our passions under control, and discipline them. Taqwa or Piety means the fear of ALLAH. The strength of piety comes from Allah and Allah alone.

In Quran: O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that you may learn piety. (2:183)

Fasting is an Obligatory duty in Islam:

Benefits of fasting are countless. Almighty ALLAH says in Quran, Fasting has been made obligatory for Muslims as it was obligatory for other religions before Islam.

Fasting builds the symbol of taqwa if it's served in the right way. How does fasting make the symbol of taqwa? Let us feel at some of the effects that a fasting person is assumed to serve, and know how they're communed to the conception and spirit of taqwa.
